Before I Forget

So I have been thinking about last night's dream all day and decided to blog it here because it was seriously SO COOL!

I found myself lost in the realm of the Time Keepers. It was winter, with snow all over, but it wasn't cold. It was sweet, like sugar. And all the places to eat were candy shops. Some had huge tubes of candy, and others were stocked with short and fat jars of candy and all sorts of sweet treats. As I was looking around, trying to figure out what was going on, one of the Grandfathers spotted me. The grandfathers were the lawmakers and keepers. I broke a rule, without knowing it, and he asked for my watch. I gave it to him and then he smashed it! I was shocked, but not as much as he was. He looked up at me and said,"You're a Girl!" I was like, well duh. But then I noticed that everyone had watches and were protecting them at all costs. So it dawns on me that their watches are their life-source.

So the Grandfathers start to create a circle around me when a guy, kind of elf-like, jumps out and rescues me from their advance. A romance naturally ensues as I get all goosebump-y when he whisks me away. And I'm still me enough to think, "Hey, this is like when Ryan holds me. Is this Ryan?" But I can't see his face. I just know what I feel like when he is around me. As we are trying to escape, we duck into a candy shop and buy a huge bag of different candies for our adventure. There's some other kind of creature, froglike, that realizes we are on the run and wants to help us. So we step out to the street to hail the first cab we see and up hops a carousel horse, very real, but with the tall post sticking out of its saddle. We climb up on him and the grandfathers see us. So we push the horse to run as fast as he can and he just flies! Pretty soon, he pulls over, we climb down and there is an old wizard waiting for us. Somehow he knew we would be there. So he helps us evade the grandfathers with a few magic tricks. He knows his time is almost up, so he wants to have one last adventure. After some fuzzy near misses, and romantic overtones, we reach the portal to escape back to my realm. But now my elfen lover has a choice to make. If he stays in his realm, the grandfathers will most likely smash his watch and drain the sands of his time. But he doesn't know if he can survive in my realm, because no one from the land of the Time Keepers has ever tried. So he was weighing the decision and was just telling me he had decided to try to come to my realm when I woke up.

I would love to develop this dream into a story. I think it has potential to be a fun bedtime story for my kids!

Catching Up...

I probably should have been kicked off the blogosphere weeks ago, but I finally have a few minutes to update. Life has been busy and good to us. Christmas was wonderful! We had a small New Year's Eve party, but unfortunately I was having so much fun I didn't get pictures. :( But here are some of my favorites from Christmas!

A week before Christmas we built graham cracker houses. Ryan's came out really cute. Mine and Monica's? Not so much. It kept falling apart.

Leah discovered her thumb. She STILL refuses a pacifier and bottle. Luckily we have moved on to eating solids and she is getting the hang of it!

We drove around and enjoyed the lights. These two houses are next door neighbors. Anytime we were in the area, we drove by them!

The girls in their Christmas Eve jammies. Aren't they cute?

This year was so fun because Monica was really excited! She was the cutest kid EVER getting ready for Santa.

Taking off the last two sleeptime links. She had naptime at Nana's that day. When I tucked Monica in, I told her I thought Santa was in the neighborhood but wouldn't come unless she was asleep. So she looked up at me and with so much pleading in her voice, said, "Go to sleep too, Mom!"

Monica's loot!

Leah's loot!

Christmas at Nana's!

Showing off her sweater!

Uncle Paul, Emily, Aunty Sarah and Jessy playing Raving Rabbids.

Monica dressed herself from head to toe and I had to take a picture because she was posing so cute!

I Farted on Santa's Lap...

A couple years ago I found this song about a kid who farts on Santa's lap and now he's all worried that his Christmas gifts from Santa won't be very good.

Until-

He catches Santa leaving his gifts when the man himself lets one rip! So the kid gets all these awesome toys because of the shared bonding farting experience.

Well, I was singing the chorus cuz it was stuck in my head and Monica got a kick out of it. So I taught her the chorus and here she is! She sort of lost the melody at the second phrase, but she's still cute! I don't know if it's just our monitor or not, but you might have to turn up your volume.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Snow Fun!

Per Lesa's request, I have finally updated my blog! I love these pictures! We had so much fun playing in the snow the day after it snowed like 3 inches! Of course, it was all melted by 4pm the next day, but it was a blast!

There are a few more posts of blogging catch-up. Thanks Lesa and Christina for the push!

Decorating the Tree

Monica had a lot of fun helping me dress the tree this year. Most of her ornaments ended up on the left side of the tree. But it's Monica!

This picture and the next are for Christina. This is one of my favorite rooms in the house. I LOVE how the sound bounces off the walls when I play the piano!

This is our house! We love it!!!

Thanksgiving-ish Pictures

Maggie and John came into town (my cousin and her fiance) and we got them to come over with Aunty Theresa, Mom and Emily to come over for lunch. Thank you Cristine for your Basil chicken recipe. It's a favorite!

Julie had fun playing in the girls' toy room. She's so cute!

We watched Julie for Emily a couple times and one time she and Monica were having F U N. I finally realized they weren't in the toy room anymore, and went to investigate. They were in the pantry. I asked if they were making messes and Monica laughed and said, "I'm not! Julie is!" And Monica was holding the camera taking pictures of Julie making said mess!!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving came and went and I got some cute pictures and then never posted them. Here are some of my favorites.

Monica and Grandma Kathy

Leah and Monica.

Monica and Julie. I asked Julie to sit with Monica for a quick picture and as soon as the flash flicked, she jumped up and ran from the stairs! LOL!

Emily modeling the dinner table.

Mom, Leah and Grandpa enjoying the feast.

Grandpa, Grandma, Emily and Julie

Dad, Elisha, and Ryan. Matt had to work...sadness!

All the girls. It's a dark picture, but you can still see how fabulous we are!
